The amenities of a major metropolitan area, Birmingham, are only an hour away. Rainbow City offers a top rated elementary school and an excellent junior high school that feed into the largest county high school, plus an excellent private school. Gadsden has a community college that offers a variety of two-year degrees, and an excellent four-year university is only 19 miles away. Two regional hospitals with various specialty care units are available locally. A university based hospital and a nationally recognized children’s hospital are located an hour away.
